Week 5

In this weeks lecture we went over briefly copyright and that fact that we used documents before the 1928 copyright was enforced. This makes it somewhat easier to use information that we find on our soldier. One website I was able to find some information on my soldier was made by the NY State Military Museum. The site gives a brief history of the 136th Infantry Regiment and has links to the unit roster, battles they fought in and newspaper clippings with the regiment mentioned. This week we were also introduced to OCR on Google Drive. I would have to say that the text that I had translated was about 95% accurate so it would definitely be easier to go through and make minor corrections rather then typing the whole text up.
